Hailey Jean bringing smiles on World Smile Day
Today is World Smile Day and we are sharing how Hailey, even in her death, is bringing smiles to so many. The following is written by Julie, Hailey's mom:
Our precious little baby girl, Hailey Jean Braden, was born asleep on June 2, 2017 at 37 weeks. She weighed 6lbs, 8.9oz and measured 20 inches long. As we held her in our arms, we made a promise to her that we would never forget about her. In honoring this promise, we have created a Little Free Library in her memory. The library is located on the grounds of First Christian Church in Alliance, OH. This particular location seemed very appropriate, as our faith has helped to carry and guide us along this very emotional and difficult journey to the point where we are today.
Our Little Free Library was created to appeal to both young and old alike. Whether it be a parent sharing a cherished moment reading to their child or an adult taking a minute to enjoy a good book, our library was created in the hopes of sharing the wonderful gift of literacy with everyone. It was designed and built with love by our family as a way of giving back and keeping the memory of our precious baby girl alive. We look forward to seeing this library make an impact on the community---just as our little angel has made an impact on our hearts forever.
